editorial submitted to Star Tribune, December 9, 2003

One question: Why did the U.S. vote against the UN General Assembly Resolution calling on the World Court to issue a legal opinion on the barrier Israel is building along and through parts of the West Bank, since construction in the Occupied Territories is not permitted according to the U.S.- backed road map to peace? (World/Nation briefs December 9)
